I'm not a MAC whore.
But this time I decided to jump in the MAC foundation bandwagon. You can't really blame me though. Here I don't have many choices with foundations. Most drugstore foundations in the market are too light/yellow for my skin. And the SA's have never been much of a help either. I occasionally run to an SA who knows less about the products than I do. Which totally sucks.
I wanted to call it a small haul at first but I thought that was not really the case. It's a pretty big haul, considering the size of dent it made on my wallet. I've been a good girl though. My last huge haul was on February and I haven't even gone clothes shopping for quite some time. So yeah, I did save up my money for these. ;)
If you're an Indonesian reader, check out Creamy's new website called Indomakeup. She sells various cosmetics from low to high-end brands. Creamy doesn't pay me for advertising her website, mind you, I just know I can trust her so I don't mind mentioning her in this blog at all. She got great service and she always responds to my queries fast. Also, you can request any makeup brand you want in her other website (you have to register first). If she doesn't have it, she can open a shopping spree on it. Pretty awesome, right? Just don't hate on me if you end up spending too much money on makeup once you clicked on those links. :P
Back to my haul, I got MAC MSF Natural in Medium Deep (which clearly is a tad darker than my skin tone, but I need this in case I get even more tanned this "summer" - I have to do the quote since we don't really have summer here in Indonesia). Also, I'm thinking I could wear this MSF Natural on top of my L'oreal foundation since that foundation is too light for me.
As for the Studio Fix Fluid, I got mine in NC37. This one is a match on me. I desperately need a good foundation for special occasions (party and whatnot) and I know I can rely on MAC. I tried it on last night when I went out. I finished doing my makeup around 4 PM, came home around 10, and guess what? The foundation still looked good! Damn, I should have bought it a long time ago.
I also got myself the Stila Smudge Pot Kit. It contains 3 travel-size smudge pots in different shades; Black, Bronze, and Gray. Totally a compulsive buy, but at least I know I will use these babies. I already tried the bronze one as a base for my eye makeup last night and it managed to stay vibrant after 7 hours. Love it! It's very pigmented too, so I really didn't need much product to cover both of my eyelids.
Basically, it stands for Face of the Day for those who don't already know. ;)
The flash kind of washed out the color in this close-up picture, but the bronze shadow is actually much more vibrant. Sometimes I feel like this is how I do my makeup 90% of the time. I'm bored and I'm afraid that my skill is not improving much because of that.
