I've been trying to integrate more organic foods into my diet in the past two weeks but I failed miserably. Eating organics ain't cheap, I can tell you that. Even in Indonesia organic alternatives can cost 3-4 times more expensive than the non organics. It's not ideal to compromise with health but I'm just trying to be reasonable. At least I buy the majority of my food locally. Baby steps, right?
My breakfast today was a couple of organic
eggs scrambled with sweet corn and chopped scallions. I also added one
slice of lightly baked whole grain bread. Super easy and quick but it
gave me so much energy.

These looks delicious! And I agree, even in Brunei, it's not cheap for a healthier choice of food. It seems like you're doing those aerobics/cardio DVDs, have you checked 10-minutes solution DVDs? I find them to be very energetic even for only the 10 minutes exercises.

I haven't tried that DVD!! I will look into it, thanks for telling me. I love trying out new exercises especially the quick ones, haha. :D The Jillian Michaels DVD I did only take 20-30 mins too so it ain't bad!
Deletethere's tons of 10-minutes solution DVDs series, there's Kickboxing Bootcamp, Rapid Results.. and some others that focuses either for your abs, legs or arms. that's what I like about them. I love Jillian Michaels though! because she takes care of her audience very well :D
DeleteI love sweet corn! I'm definitely going to try this (: And I totally agree with you, organic stuff can be so expensive sometimes ): x

Cool! :D I normally don't add sweet corn but I had some left in the fridge so I was like "What the hell!" Hahaha
DeleteI think eggs are such a super food and an excellent food item to start off your day! people are always like oh, but eggs have so much cholesterol, and yet they eat all these fried/salty processed foods. I find it really funny XD Keep up the good work with your healthy diet! Having brown rice over white rice is my number one tip to people.
ReplyDeleteI agree! A lot of people go all out in ignoring one type of food but overeat the other. And yes, I eat brown rice too! :D
DeleteFifi, aku juga on Diet nih. Soalnya terlalu banyak jajan di luar, dan aku rasa nggak sehat (kamu tau sendiri lah warung makan di Jogja: terlalu banyak penyedap rasa, lemak, pengawet dll dll). Jadi sedang berusaha masak sendiri.
ReplyDeleteThanx sharing menunya. Bisa jadi contekan menu besok ;)
Sebenarnya aku nggak "diet" kok Arum, aku tetap makan sesuai kebutuhan kalori harianku. :D Tapi aku makan makanan yang bukan prosesan (atau kemasan, pokoknya semua yg dari pabrik aku gak makan) walaupun blom 100% sih. Kayak kecap, mayonaise, yoghurt aku masih pake yg kemasan tp yg lain selalu natural. :D
I love eating organic too, but they are so expensive. My husband and I started growing our own greens.
