2012 Favorites

HELLO! Hi. Yes. It's me. Once in a while I get reminded by the people of Twitter that I still have a blog even though it's a poor, not-so-sure-if-it's-still-relevant one. But today I genuinely feel like posting and I figured it would be appropriate to start off with my favorite products of last year. Basically these are the stuff that I purchased some time last year and still bothered to use until now.

EYE MAKEUP

Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky palette in Smoky Brown 

It's been quite a challenge searching for a compact smoky eyeshadow palette that consists of only neutral/cool-toned brown colors. A lot of them have only warm browns that I myself am not a fan of. The shimmery medium brown color in this palette has quickly become my favorite ever since I got it.

Baviphat Sugar Girl Gel Eyeliner in Pearl Purple

The thick consistency makes it difficult to blend but I love the color so much that I keep using it as an eyeshadow base for my purple eyeshadows. It's perfect for night-outs or for when I'm just too lazy to do proper makeup.

Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow palette in Beethoven

The purple shades in this palette are just gorgeous! I also use the brown and black shadow a lot.

Etude House Proof 10 Eyeshadow Primer

It's better than UDPP and much cheaper; definitely a smart purchase.

Wet n' Wild H20 Proof Liquid Eyeliner

I got this free from Wet n' Wild Indonesia but I have yet to do a full review on it (bad, bad blogger!). I'm going to do it as soon as I can. This is a really good eyeliner for the price, though. I'm pleasantly surprised.

deJavu Lash Knockout mascara

Can I say... best mascara ever? Because it is. Usually mascaras don't do much on my thin, sparse eyelashes but this actually makes a difference.

Tony Moly Party Lover Cake Eyebrow #2

Tony Moly is a Korean brand. I forgot how much exactly I bought this for but it was quite cheap. Easy application, good staying power, no reddish tint to the color... that's all I want, really.

BASE MAKEUP

Diorskin ForeverWear Invisible Retouch Powder in Medium

Guess what? I'm on my second pan! This is my all time favorite retouch powder. I've been using it since 2011.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation

Intensity 4 is my color but I have this in 3 so I look a bit ghastly when I wear this. But a darker powder easily solves that problem. And no, it doesn't top Diorskin Nude in my opinion, but it's my second favorite to wear during the day since it's very long wearing.

CHEEKS

Candy Doll Blush in Strawberry Pink

A lovely pink blush! It's like NARS Angelika without the glitterbomb. A bit small for the price though!

MAC Frost Blush in Margin

My current favorite everyday blush. It's a MAC Frost, yeah, but it's not glittery at all. It just gives a bit of sheen to the temples of the cheeks.

LIPS

Bourjois Sweet Kiss Naturel Lipstick in Rose Tendre

I love to wear this with a nude gloss on top.

MAKEOVER Liquid Lip Color in Peach

Makeover is an Indonesian brand. I don't agree with the name; I think this product is more of a gloss than a liquid lipstick. The consistency is just right; not too sticky but still gives that nice glossy finish. It has a fruity scent to it but nothing too offensive. Love the no bullshit peach color. I'm not a shimmery gloss type of gal.

B&C Makemania Nudy Lip Concealer #01

If you wear a lot of smoky eyes/nude lips combo then you need this. It goes well as a lip base for any nude/pink lipstick/gloss. I find it comfortable on the lips, not drying at all. The finish is creamy matte. It also has SPF.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

My new favorite nude pink lipstick. I like pairing this with a dark purple smoky eye makeup. And it has a sheen finish already so no need to add lipgloss.

So that's it! I plan to post my hair and skincare routine too some time this week. :)
