If you don't already know, First Blush is an Indonesian beauty box subscription company. They started out with their first box last August and I was invited for a trial. Since I was away at that time I asked them to send me the box on September instead, so here it is... my September First Blush beauty box.
The First Blush beauty box service works a little something like this: you pay for either 1, 4, or a 12-month subscription and each month you will receive a box filled with beauty goodies. Each box will also include a voucher to be spent at an online shop. If you like trying out different beauty products, this might be something you should really look into.
The theme for September was Repair, Refresh, Rejuvenate. Basically there's all sorts of home spa products to try out that I felt a little bit overwhelmed at first. Here's a list of all the products I received in the box:
- Kerastase Reflection Chroma Riche (sample size).
- Kerastase Nutritive Oleo Relax (sample size).
- H2o Sea Marine Triple Butter Body Cream (sample size)
- MJ Care Facial Mask (full size).
- Pure Smile Choosy Lip Mask (full size).
- Natural Bee Balm. Full size (full size).
- Allure Eyelid Sticker (full size).
Out of all the products, the only thing I haven't touched yet is the eyelid stickers, simply because I have no use of that. My favorite ones are the Kerastase hair masks and H20 body cream. The hair masks really do an amazing job; they make my hair smooth and tame but never weigh them down. The H20 Sea Marine Triple Body Cream is highly moisturizing; I love to use it on my legs after I shaved. The full sized product is a bit too expensive, though. The BeeBalm (which is like our Indonesian version of Burt Bee's lip balm) is quite nice as well; I use it at night before bed and in the morning I wake up with nice, moisturized lips.
So all in all I think the September First Blush box could be worth the penny. I don't know if the quality of the box would be consistent all throughout the months because I haven't subscribed to them yet but I'm definitely considering it. Honestly I would like to receive at least one makeup product in my box but I was told that I can tell them what my preferences are when I subscribe.
So, what do you think? Has anyone tried subscribing to one of these beauty box companies? Since there's a few of them now in Indonesia, which one do you recommend?
