I've dissed Benefit quite a lot in this blog because I think most of their products are too gimmicky; the Some Kind-a Gorgeous foundation faker, Hello Flawless powder and Bad Gal mascara left me unimpressed. But two things I'd genuinely encourage everyone to try out: the Hoola bronzer and Rockateur blush. They truly are lovely.
What I like about Rockateur is the uniqueness of the rose gold color. Depending on how much you apply it, the color can look very subtle or stand out enough as a night time blush. In short; it's a day-to-night blush! It's so versatile and not to mention.. gorgeous! I believe this blush can work for many skin tones. I'm an NC40 in MAC and this blush shows up on my skin just fine.
I have also no complain about the packaging; it's beautiful and sturdy enough. The brush it comes with is actually useable which is practical for touching up purpose.
I swatched the blush very very lightly here because I want you to see the pigmentation of the blush. It's definitely on the sheer side of things but you can definitely layer it to a full blown medium rose gold color. Paired with the right bronzer it can look so damn sexy yet still natural on. I usually wear this on the apple of my cheeks and apply Hoola on my jawlines; love the result!
Benefit Rockateur retails for $28 I think. I bought it for a little more than $30 from an Indonesian online shop. It's definitely worth the money because I plan on wearing this blush a ton.
Awesome job, Benefit!
